Unexpected Expectations of Men-O-Pause! My solo show I am so thrilled that this exhibition is shining the light on a topic often considered taboo. For over a decade, I have been in that state of understanding menopause and how it has affected me. I wondered why it surprised me even with everything I thought I knew. Why wasn’t any discussion about menopause, like we had about puberty? I sure had it twisted with my expectations! Having endured these changes inspired this exhibition which I have been mulling over for many years. As a female artist of menopausal age, I bring my personal experiences to this exhibition. My goal for this solo show is to explore these menopausal changes that we as women will all go through and should not be ashamed to talk about! Let us de-mystify the taboo!
